  한국전쟁 초기에 한강 도하 작전이 2 번 있었다 . 한번은 미 해병사단 5 연대에 의하여 현 행주대교를 따라 행주산성으로 도하작전이 시행되었고 또 한 번은 미 25 사단에 의하여 광주 남종면 일대에서 양수리 두물머리측으로 도하작전이 시행되었다 . There was two(2) Han river crossing operations in Korean War.  One crossing was carried out by the 5 th US Marine Regiment along the present Haegju Grand Bridge toward the castle of Haengju Mountain Fortress, and the other was conducted by the 25th US Army Division from the area of Namjong-myon, Kwangju, to Dumulmeori of Yangsu-ri(Confluence of North and South Han Rivers), Yangseo. 그런데 미 25 사단이 상륙한 지점에 도하비가 설치되었다는 내용을 인터넷에서 보았고 팔당역 근처 강안에 설치되었다해서 현지 답사를 하였으나 찾을 수 없었다 . 그러던 중 금년 초에 남양주에 있는 한 학교에서 본 도하비를 찾아 청소하고 참배하였다는 소식을 우연히 확인하게 되어 다시한번 주소지를 확인하고 현지답사를 하기로 하였다 .
