While never willing to bow to a tyrant, our forefathers were always willing to get to their knees before God. When catastrophe threatened, they turned to God for deliverance. When the harvest was bountiful the first thought was thanksgiving to God.

Prayer is today as powerful a force in our Nation as it has ever been. We as a Nation should never forget this source of strength. And while recognizing that the freedom to choose a Godly path is the essence of liberty, as a Nation we cannot but hope that more of our citizens would, through prayer, come into a closer relationship with their Maker.

In response of this, a few citizen’s organization is believed in campaigning to change the name with Daebung-ho used before for consideration of Korea vs China and Korea vs North Korea relationship, and promoting peace talk with North Korea. ...

한 겨울 한 밤 차갑던 양평/용문 미 23연대 지평리 전투지 탐방 Exploration of the Chipyong-ni Battle Place Where the 23rd US Army Regiment Stood Cold at Night

12 월 26 일 토요일 , 집안일 하고 점심식사 하다 보니 오후 2 시 반이 되었다 . 특별하게 탐방계획은 없었으나 주말 도로체증이 없고 자주 다녔던 양평을 생각하며 이미 탐방을 했었지만 좀더 전투가 치열했던 맥기고지 (McGee Hill) 를 심층 탐방하기로 하고 한강철교를 지나 6 번 국도를 타고 동쪽으로 달렸다 . 한강을 우측으로 끼고 달리다 보면 양수리를 지나면서 남한강을 끼고 달리게 되어 Drive 하기는 좋았으나 하늘이 흐리고 기온이 차가운 것이 흠이었다 . It became 2 PM in the afternoon on the date of 26 th December 2020, while I was dealing with a household job and a lunch. I drove eastward my car on the national road 6, passing the Jamsil railroad bridge, though I had no plan to explore but considered no traffic jam at weekdays and frequent driving route for Yangpyong, and decided to explore more deeply the McGee hills where more severe fighting was taken place in Chipyong. The following story I am about to present recounts a British battle that took place on the night of January 3rd, 1951, in the northern outskirts of Seoul during the Korean War. 아래 글은 1951.01.03 밤 서울 북방에서 1.4 후퇴를 엄호하고 철수하던 중 미군이 잘못 투하한 조명탄에 노출된 영국 Ulster(Royal Ulster Rifle) 대대가 중공군의 공격에 맞서 장렬히 싸우다가 대대장 이하 157 명이 전사한 전투에 관한 기록이다 .   This story has been referred to the records based on the effort of the author Wolf Dog who studied extensively and explored deeply the battle site with interviews of the veterans of Ulster Rifle and residents witnessing the battle. Without his effort and records, the miserable Happy Vally Battle and the sacrifice of British Ulster Rifle can not be addressed, so I would like to deeply appreciate it.          이 기록은 Wolf Dog 이 전투현장을 상세히 탐방하며 참전했던 재향군인과 목격한 마을 주민들의 증언을 바탕으로 상세히 기술하여 발표한 기록에 근거한다 . 이분의 정보 없이는 결코 비극적인 서울 북방 곡릉천변에서 Happy Valley 전투와 영국군의 희생이 한국인에 잘 알려질 수 없다 생각되...
