While never willing to bow to a tyrant, our forefathers were always willing to get to their knees before God. When catastrophe threatened, they turned to God for deliverance. When the harvest was bountiful the first thought was thanksgiving to God.

Prayer is today as powerful a force in our Nation as it has ever been. We as a Nation should never forget this source of strength. And while recognizing that the freedom to choose a Godly path is the essence of liberty, as a Nation we cannot but hope that more of our citizens would, through prayer, come into a closer relationship with their Maker.

For the memory of Korean War on 25 Jun. same day in 1950, I would like to remind of the brave 5th & 7th Marine Regiments near Chosin Reservoir. They demonstrated clearly in this case why every unit of US Marines did carry out their missions without hesitation, and what spirit lead them to do so. I am proud of Korean War Veterans of United Marine Corps, who may die in process of battle or after the war, or live now. You once US Marine, shall be always US Marine with the spirit of Semper Fidelis.  Korean Marines surely wish to be standing by USMC forever, just as the moment in which two marines fought together as one team in Inchon landing, Seoul barricade, Chosin reservoir, Andong guerilla, Hwacheon reservoir and battle fields of the West front.    I have always respected the US Marine Corp proving their ability in times of crisis in Korean war so I would like to introduce one of their heroic tales on the Chosin reservoir campaign. The 1st US Marine Division in the Battle of Hwacheon 제1 미 해병사단의 화천지구 전투

This battle to be introduced was taken place in the area of Hwacheon, the west bank of the Pukhan river, and Chuncheon, when the UN forces advanced in the center front line to recover the lost territory from the 38th parallel. In the operation of the Dauntless, the 6th South Korean Division was concentratively attacked by the Chinese forces and defeated in flight. The 1st US Marine Division positioned on the right side of the 6th Division had to fight off in the withdrawal operation from the Hwachon frontline. Exploration of Kum River Battle Place (Korean War) during April 20 to 21, 2025

Introduction The first day covered the place of Kongju like the Geomsan-dong village, Woogeumchi Battle Place, Kongju City Hall, Komnaru Tour Area, Kongsan Fortress, Wangchon Creek & Oya Bridge to explore the actions of the 34th Regiment of 24th US Army Division. The second day covered the place of Sejong like Tuman-ni, Yongdam-ni, Balsan-ni, the Kaehwa Mt., Riverside of the Keumnam Bridge, and Seongdeok-ni around the Duwoo Peak and the Sparrow Pass to explore the defensive actions of 19th Regiment. It was good to travel on Sunday and Monday, but there was a heavy traffic jam around the West Hanam IC and its lampway to Kangdong. It is needed to avoid the Kangdong lampway and preferably to the Hanam lampway or avoid the West Hanam IC. This travel for one-night and two-day costed us of 200,000 KRW half of which were for gas and hotel expenses.
